Dr. John Pitts was born in a little town called Toccoa in the North Georgia mountains and has lived in Georgia all of his life. He attended Emory Medical School and trained in Pediatrics at Grady Hospital and Egleston Children’s here in Atlanta. He has been in practice for over 30 years.
Dr. Pitts went into Pediatrics because he believes kids are truly special, wonderful people and it is a privilege taking care of them. He especially enjoys well child care; watching children grow and develop is an endless fascination. He has a special needs child of his own, so he has a special concern for families raising children who face extra challenges in life.
In his spare time, Dr. Pitts likes to read history, keep up with the news and hike the Georgia mountain trails.
Board Certified Pediatrician by The American Board of Pediatrics, Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
