It is getting colder, but it is not winter yet! Take advantage of the beautiful fall weather and get outside with your family. Here are a few ideas to get outdoors with the kids before the cold air keeps your family inside by the fire.
Go for a walk.
Here is an idea that even the family pet can be involved in. The Kennesaw area has multiple beautiful parks and walking trails. Grab a jacket and take the opportunity to catch up with your kids, ask them questions about school and friends, and enjoy the leaves changing colors.
This is a childhood memory they won’t soon forget! Don’t you remember those field trips or family outings where everyone would huddle together behind a tractor and enjoy a hayride through a field? This is a great photo opportunity too! Don’t forget your camera and a nice blanket to sit on.
Go apple picking.
This is a sure-fire way to get the kiddos to eat their fruits- have them pick their own! Another great opportunity to make memories together. Bonus: make an apple pie together when you get home! We wouldn’t mind if you share some of it with your KP family as well. 🙂
Carve a pumpkin and save the seeds.
Pumpkin carving is not just for Halloween! Have the kids carve or paint a Fall-themed pumpkin and save the seeds! You can roast them for a delicious (and healthy) Fall snack.
We hope you enjoy the Fall season with your kids. If you use our ideas, we would love to see pictures. Post them to Facebook and tag us!
