Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, Abby came to Georgia to attend UGA where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She attended nursing school at Vanderbilt University, where she received her Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in pediatric primary care. Abby then decided to make Georgia her home after completing two pediatric primary care preceptorships in the Atlanta area.
After graduating from Vanderbilt University she spent time volunteering at clinics in low income areas of Nashville and Atlanta, working to bring high quality care to areas with low access to healthcare.
Abby’s particular interests are in health promotion, adolescent medicine, asthma management, and medical service work. Why does she love what she does? Abby says, “I am a pediatric provider because of my passion for helping children, adolescents, and families navigate growth and development while maintaining and improving their physical and mental health.”
When not serving patients and families at KP, Abby enjoys spending time exploring the Atlanta restaurant scene with friends and family, running, ballet, and live music.
